Last week, I received a tweet from @brookeduckart, “Did you see your site is an example for ‘Personal Sites’ on Design Meltdown post today? Sweet action.” Agree, this is sweet action! Over the years, I have used Design Meltdown as a web design reference to keep up with the trends, help me with design problems and inspiration for design elements. So, when I found out my site was used as an example for the recent article, Personal Sites Part 2: Ego Surfing at its Best, I was overly thrilled. Patrick McNeil states, “The personal site can closely resemble a portfolio site, and often the line between them is rather fuzzy. All the same this collection of samples represents sites that serve to show more of a full view of a person as oppose to simply a huge display of work.” So thanks to Patrick and Design Meltdown for using my site as a sample for this article. If you have a moment, please check out all that Design Meltdown has to offer. It’s a wonderful resource!

Here is a glimpse into Manifest’s Winning Solution. The team consisting of Dan Thompson, Brian Henkel and myself had just about 2 weeks to complete this “doable” solution for Sustainable Living in Austin. Our solution, Carbon Nation, is a toolbox that help improve utility usage in the home, reduce travel and commuting, expose implications of shopping decision, layout home improvements with the likes of solar panels, and reveal community performance. More to come shortly…

Today launched the MOUSTACHETTE site. Here is just a sneak peak of the new homepage for the short film, which was written, directed and stars Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. The movie also stars Pete Wentz of FOB and Ryan Key of Yellowcard.
MOUSTACHETTE is a tale of love, art, and wading through all of life’s bulls*!t. “That which does not kill us, only makes us stronger”…yeah, right. Join Eugene as he searches for truth, integrity, and a blueberry milkshake.
Today is the launch of the MOUSTACHETTE Blog with updates to follow to each section of the site. The site will have a lot of fun, exciting flash animations, an image gallery of the cast and crew and a few fun marketing efforts (Moustach Me & Irritants) which will allow its fans to participate and show their support. Remember to keep checking in daily to see how the site develops and come alive.
A special thanks goes out to thirtysevenclick, hustlewood and treeline interactive for making this all happen. We all hope you enjoy the site and most importantly the movie.
