Instead, I depend on my extensive cross-media design experience. I rely on a solid strategy to build upon. I bank on my ability to work ahead of the trends. And I trust in my gift to question everything.

Honestly, I think the band, Boston, pretty much summed up my approach to design: “It’s more than a feeling.”

That's what I try to do every day. To create clean, inventive and usable designs, on the web and in print. I currently work at Colossal Squid in Chicago, but I'm always game for a side project or two. Holla at me and we'll discuss.

Wood & Rubber Site DesignWednesday, June 24th, 2009

Wood & Rubber Homepage

Wood and Rubber is a little project I help my pal, Clay Parker Jones, out with. It’s a simple design using social media to drive the content of the site and to inform his customers of his latest news.

So…if you like ping pong and want a sweet paddle…you need to order one of his handmade paddles. The craftsmanship is close to perfection.

Moustachette Site LaunchTuesday, December 16th, 2008

Moustachette

Today launched the MOUSTACHETTE site. Here is just a sneak peak of the new homepage for the short film, which was written, directed and stars Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy.  The movie also stars Pete Wentz of FOB and Ryan Key of Yellowcard.

MOUSTACHETTE is a tale of love, art, and wading through all of life’s bulls*!t. “That which does not kill us, only makes us stronger”…yeah, right. Join Eugene as he searches for truth, integrity, and a blueberry milkshake.

Today is the launch of the MOUSTACHETTE Blog with updates to follow to each section of the site. The site will have a lot of fun, exciting flash animations, an image gallery of the cast and crew and a few fun marketing efforts (Moustach Me & Irritants) which will allow its fans to participate and show their support. Remember to keep checking in daily to see how the site develops and come alive.

A special thanks goes out to thirtysevenclick, hustlewood and treeline interactive for making this all happen. We all hope you enjoy the site and most importantly the movie.

New Work Showcase: Uncle VicTuesday, October 28th, 2008

Logo Design

Web Design

Just this past week, another site I was involved in was launched. Uncle Vic is an e-commerce site that gives their customers impossible deals on PC’s and Electronics. Everyone has his or her own Uncle Vic. You know the Uncle, the one that has all the latest technology & can fix your computer in minutes. “Think of Uncle Vic as your gadget go-to guy, your hookup for impossible deals on PC’s and electronics. UncleVic.com is an online store that focuses on selling select big screen LCD and plasma TV’s, Monitors, PC’s and other cool consumer electronics and accessories at sick prices. We find the hottest products and offer them at impossibly low prices by leveraging decades-long relationships with major manufacturers.”

My responsabilities ranged from the logo design to art direction and support design for the site. Our goals was to create a personality for Uncle Vic without stereotyping him. We wanted everyone to be able to connect with the Uncle Vic brand in his or her own fashion. Being able to relate your own gaget-loving Uncle to Uncle Vic. The site has several unique features that seperate it from the competition. One is on the homepage, 6 Items priced at an impossible deals are showcased with tickers to countdown the remaining items.

Check it out at unlcevic.com. Enjoy!
